Developed in collaboration with TV naturalist and wildlife cameraman Simon King, the Wreath Nester is a beautifully designed wild bird nesting site created from decades of first-hand wildlife observation. Designed and made with birds’ natural behaviour in mind, it’s a standout garden bird nester that combines practical function with natural style.

Many small wild bird species prefer open-fronted nest sites with easy access, but they also need protection from predators. The Simon King Wreath Nester solves this perfectly: an open entrance leads to a sheltered nesting chamber, cleverly tucked behind a side wall and protected by an overhanging roof. This design offers security, warmth, and discretion—ideal for nesting, roosting, and sheltering throughout the year.

During colder months, the wreath provides a safe roosting place for small birds, helping them conserve energy on cold nights and stay hidden from predators. It’s a valuable bird shelter for winter as well as a nesting site in spring and summer.

The hand-woven brushwood wreath is designed to be customised. Where to site:

• Attach easily to hedges, ivy, shrubs, or trees using wire
• Hang on walls or fences using the supplied string or fixing wire
• Includes a rattan landing platform and low dividing wall to separate nesting and roosting areas

Maintenance & Specifications

• Remove nesting material carefully between breeding seasons.
• On the other hand, leftover materials can attract bumblebees to nest within.
• The decorative foliage may require regular replacement depending on the materials used and the effect you are trying to achieve. But we'll leave that up to you!
