About our couriers
We use three couriers so you can pick the one that works best for you. Here's a quick comparison.
EVRI Next Day
Our standard option on the UK mainland. Tracked, next-working-day, good app for redirecting parcels and setting "leave safe" instructions.
Royal Mail Tracked 48
Same price as EVRI on light mainland orders. Takes a day or two longer (2–3 working days) but pick this if you prefer Royal Mail or have a Locker preference.
DPD Next Day
Premium next-day service with the slickest tracking app — one-hour delivery windows, photo-of-safe-place, redirect on the fly. Default on heavy mainland orders.
When you'll get it
Orders placed before 2:30pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day.
Mainland UK — next working day
- Mon–Thu before 2:30pm: arrives next day
- Friday before 2:30pm: arrives Monday with EVRI, Monday with DPD
- Friday after 2:30pm: dispatched Monday, arrives Tuesday
- Weekend orders: dispatched Monday, arrives Tuesday
Other UK regions — 2–3 working days
- Northern Ireland: typically 2–3 days from dispatch
- Highlands & Islands / CI / IoM: typically 2–3 days
- Heavy parcels: may arrive in stages, but usually the same day
- Bank holidays: add 1–2 working days
If you're ordering a lot
Our heaviest parcels are 25–29kg. Couriers won't carry them into your house or move them around your property — they're left at your doorstep. If lifting a full box is going to be tricky:
- Use the courier's app to set a "leave safe" spot close to where you store the food — shed, porch, garage.
- Decant on the doorstep — open the box where it lands and carry the bags in one at a time.
- Order smaller bags if you'd rather not lift big boxes — we sell most foods in 1kg, 2kg and 5kg bags. A touch more per kg but much easier to handle.
- Get a hand — schedule the delivery for a day when a neighbour or family member can be around.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose my courier at checkout?
Yes. On the shipping step you'll see every option available for your postcode and order size — EVRI Next Day, Royal Mail Tracked 48, or DPD Next Day where eligible. The price for each is shown clearly before you pay.
Why is my postcode classed as "out of area"?
Our couriers charge a higher rate to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight. We absorb a fair chunk of that ourselves — and we still offer free Royal Mail Tracked 48 on light orders over £30 to those areas, the same as the rest of the UK.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at the moment — UK delivery only. That includes Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Isles of Scilly. You're welcome to place an order from outside the UK as a gift, just enter the recipient's UK address.
Can I order to a business address?
Yes. Couriers can deliver any time during the working day so make sure someone will be there to take it in.
What's the cut-off for next-day delivery?
2:30pm Monday to Friday for same-day dispatch on the mainland. Mon–Thu orders before the cut-off arrive next day.
Friday orders before 2:30pm: if you choose EVRI, your parcel arrives Saturday. If you choose DPD, it arrives Monday — DPD doesn't deliver on Saturdays as standard. After 2:30pm Friday, all orders arrive Monday. Weekend orders dispatch Monday for Tuesday arrival.
How do I track my parcel?
You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as the parcel leaves us. On delivery day you'll get a second email (and SMS if you've given us a mobile number) with a one-hour delivery window. Each courier also has its own app:
- DPD: DPD app · web portal
- EVRI: EVRI tracking
- Royal Mail: Royal Mail tracking
I won't be in. What are my options?
Set a "leave safe" spot in advance with your courier's app — porch, shed, behind a planter — and the driver will follow it. Without a leave-safe instruction, the driver will use their judgement, try a neighbour, or take it to a local pick-up point. You can also redirect to a neighbour or pick-up shop from the delivery-day email.
My heavy order is splitting into multiple parcels
For orders over 15kg to out-of-area postcodes, or over 20kg to Northern Ireland, we split the order into 20–25kg parcels. They almost always travel together on the same vehicle and arrive the same day. Very occasionally one may turn up a working day later — you can track each parcel separately.
Do you offer contact-free delivery?
Yes — every option is contact-free by default. Drivers leave the parcel at your door and step back. If you'd rather they ring or knock, just leave a note in the courier's app.
My parcel is damaged or items are missing
We're sorry about that — please email sales@chubbymealworms.co.uk with your order number and a photo of any damage. We'll send a replacement straight away.
I need to cancel or change my order
We start packing within an hour of receiving your order so we can hit the next-day cut-off. If you need to change something, email sales@chubbymealworms.co.uk as soon as you can and we'll try to catch it before dispatch. If it's already left the warehouse, refuse the delivery and we'll refund you when it's back.
I got an email asking me to pay a delivery fee — is that real?
Almost certainly not. UK couriers don't charge customers extra to "release" parcels. If you get one of these emails, don't click any links — go directly to the courier's website and enter your tracking number to check. If something needed paying, it would have been at checkout with us.
I missed the delivery
The courier will retry the next working day, or follow any "leave safe" instructions you've set. After two failed attempts most couriers hold the parcel at a local depot or pick-up point for you to collect — just follow the link in the missed-delivery card or the courier's tracking email.

All prices include VAT. We ship in plain cardboard boxes that go straight in your recycling, and we keep the plastic to a minimum.
