500g Chubby Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae - Calci Worms

These crunchy dried insects are high in protein and amino acids, making them ideal for wild birds and visiting hedgehogs. Naturally rich in calcium, and beneficial fats, Calci Worms have a much more favourable calcium-to-phosphorus ratio, often written as the Ca:P ratio, than many traditional dried insect treats such as mealworms. They should be offered as a treat, fed as part of a balanced wildlife feeding routine.
Research shows that feeding a balanced Ca:P ratio increases animal health and contributes to stronger bones and eggs. Black soldier fly larvae have a naturally high calcium content and as such are an excellent addition to the diet of breeding birds and growing vertebrates such as birds and hedgehogs.
Chubby Black Soldier Fly can be fed from any seed or mealworm feeders, bird tables, ground feeders, hanging feeders, feeding trays and hedgehog feeding stations, these dried larvae are easy to serve, easy to store and loved by insect-eating garden visitors.
Feed them to support garden birds during busy feeding periods such as nesting season, breeding season, fledgling season, moulting, winter feeding and cold weather, or offer a small amount to hedgehogs as an occasional supplementary treat alongside suitable hedgehog food and always offer fresh water.
